New Release: Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management
Oracle’s new Hyperion enterprise performance management (EPM) solution features modules and enhancements to existing applications that provide users with substantial improvements in functional capabilities, simplicity of use, and ease of administration.

Three new modules include Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Suite, which helps streamline and manage the financial close process; Oracle Hyperion disclosure management software, which facilitates the creation and filing of eXtensible Business Reporting Language-compliant statutory financial reports; and the Oracle Hyperion public sector planning module, which offers a solution targeted at the unique planning and budgeting requirements of the public sector arena.

Oracle’s Hyperion EPM solution also includes enhancements to existing Hyperion EPM applications. Oracle Hyperion Planning users can now manage end-to-end budgeting and planning tasks with a familiar Microsoft Office interface, and they can also utilize improved Web forms and more-efficient data entry grids. And because this release is more tightly integrated with Oracle Fusion Middleware as its underlying technology backbone, users can benefit from improved overall manageability. Oracle Secure Enterprise Search
Most business users are familiar with search technology on the Web, but until recently, search technology has had very limited application in the enterprise world. Oracle Secure Enterprise Search allows Oracle E-Business Suite users to search for data using a unified search engine, with search results generated based on a user’s application responsibilities. As an added bonus, Oracle Secure Enterprise Search also features Search Modeler 1.1, an optional lightweight Web-based tool that allows users to create and modify searchable objects and metadata tailored to individual business needs.

What makes Search Modeler innovative is its simplicity and scalability, which hides much of the search complexity from end users. Users don’t need to have the extensive programming skills required with other development tools. Search Modeler allows users to enjoy the simplicity of a Web-like search with an appealing user interface. It offers great response time and appropriate content security, and searches can be easily customized according to user requirements. Learn more at
