Oracle OpenWorld is back—and bigger than ever. With a complete technology stack from applications to disk, Oracle has something to offer everyone in the technology chain, and Oracle OpenWorld provides a comprehensive selection of educational and networking opportunities for every role in the enterprise.
Oracle OpenWorld is the world’s largest and most important conference for Oracle technologists, business users, and partners. It is your opportunity to meet with experts, enthusiasts, business leaders, and innovators from every industry around the world. It is also your chance to meet with product and technology experts from every layer of Oracle’s complete technology stack. You’ll hear from executives about Oracle’s strategy and roadmap, as well as from the experts who are engineering Oracle’s products. You’ll get hands-on experience with hardware and software that is engineered to work together and built to optimize your business from end to end.
Oracle’s recent acquisition of Sun brings a new dimension to Oracle OpenWorld, and new opportunities for Oracle and Sun customers alike.
Oracle OpenWorld offers 2,400 sessions, 420 partner exhibits, almost 400 Oracle demos, hands-on labs, and several networking events. Always a conference highlight, keynotes from industry luminaries including HP’s Ann Livermore, Dell Inc.’s Michael Dell, and Oracle’s Larry Ellison will provide insight into how to drive your business forward today and into the future. Executives from Fujitsu, Infosys, and Intel will also share their vision. Whether you’re a CIO, line-of-business manager, seasoned developer, or novice technologist, you’ll find how-tos, best-practice sessions, overviews, and customer roundtables targeted to your job role and level of expertise.
Sessions. Oracle OpenWorld’s sessions are broken into five streams that cover the full breadth of Oracle’s products and services. These streams, each with in-depth sessions led by Oracle experts, customers, and partners, are Applications, Database, Industries, Middleware, and Server and Storage Systems.
Exhibition halls. Head to one of the three themed exhibition halls for exhibitor booths, theaters, product demos, and games. The Moscone South Exhibition Hall will focus on Oracle Applications, Oracle Enterprise Manager for applications, and solutions for industries, while the Moscone West Exhibition Hall will cover Oracle Database, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and server and storage systems. In these halls, you’ll have the opportunity to talk with experts about your business challenges, see new products in action, and learn how to solve problems with Oracle technology and Oracle partner and customer solutions.
Looking to dive deep into Java technology? Head to the Java Exhibition Hall, which will be located at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. All three halls will house the Oracle DEMOgrounds, each with demo stations staffed by experts ready to lead you through interactive product demos. Get practical, one-on-one experience with the latest Oracle technology and learn how to implement, manage, and innovate with Oracle products from the people who develop them.
Take a break between sessions at the Callaway Experience booth sponsored by Tata Consultancy Services, where you can play the Par 3 Challenge golf simulation game and participate in putting and chipping contests using Callaway foam practice balls. Grab a morning cappuccino or afternoon beer at the Tap & Brew, sponsored by Capgemini, or drink up an energizing smoothie at Juice It Up!, sponsored by Dell Inc.
Pavilions. Oracle OpenWorld pavilions bring together Oracle’s partner and customer experts in one specific business focus area to showcase best-in-class solutions and services, cutting-edge technology, and product demos. Pavilions include Cloud Computing, CRM On Demand, Hyperion, JD Edwards, Project Portfolio Management, and Virtualization.
Don’t miss the America’s Cup Pavilion, where you can watch behind-the-scenes video on the making of BMW ORACLE Racing’s trimaran, USA, and see how Oracle Data Mining gave the crew a technological advantage to win back the oldest trophy in international sports.
Networking events. It wouldn’t be Oracle OpenWorld without the nightlife. With the Welcome Reception sponsored by Fujitsu, the attendee-favorite Oracle OpenWorld Appreciation Event sponsored by CSC and NetApp, and It’s a Wrap!, Oracle OpenWorld offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation, networking, and music. As always, the Appreciation Event features big names in music—the Black Eyed Peas, Don Henley, the Steve Miller Band, and Montgomery Gentry—performing on Treasure Island during the traditional Wednesday night celebration.
