Engineered Systems Enhance Oracle Applications
The Oracle Optimized Solution for Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and the Oracle Optimized Solution for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne provide well-tested, highly validated architectures that are designed to balance low total cost of ownership with optimal performance and high reliability.
The Oracle Optimized Solution for Agile Product Lifecycle Management uses Oracle’s Sun Fire X4800 M2 server to run the entire PLM infrastructure in a single virtualized system. Storage is also simplified with Oracle’s Sun ZFS Storage Appliance. Customers face reduced risks because the environment is pretested and involves deploying just one hardware server.
The Oracle Optimized Solution for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne runs in one low-cost, compact SPARC T-Series server and can be deployed very quickly. It offers the security, performance, and reliability benefits of the Oracle Solaris operating system, while Oracle’s new Sun FlashFire technology offers significant performance improvements and increased productivity.
Oracle Enterprise Data Quality
The new Oracle enterprise data quality solutions feature outstanding master data management (MDM) and data integration capabilities for any data domain, such as purpose-built capabilities for product and customer data. These applications combine the Oracle Product Data Quality and recently acquired Datanomic data quality products.
Oracle enterprise data quality solutions are a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware and are integrated with Oracle’s MDM solutions. Besides addressing independent data quality requirements, the software facilitates accurate, consistent, and timely data sharing across both heterogeneous and disparate systems.
In addition, Oracle enterprise data quality solutions are certified and integrated with Oracle’s Siebel Customer Relationship Management, Oracle Product Hub, Oracle Data Integrator, and Oracle Customer Hub applications, providing users with enhanced data integrity across the enterprise. It also makes it easier to manage data at a lower cost.
Oracle Introduces Environmental Accounting and Reporting Solutions
Organizations struggling to abide by complex energy usage and emissions reporting requirements can now take advantage of the new Oracle Environmental Accounting and Reporting and Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Environmental Accounting and Reporting solutions, which are based on Ndevr assets Oracle acquired in February 2011.
Provided as an option for Oracle Financials and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management applications, the new modules enable organizations to gauge their greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental data against reduction targets. Users can easily obtain accurate, verifiable, and repeatable methodologies for greenhouse gas calculation in accordance with global standards and for both voluntary and legislated emissions reporting schemes.
The environmental accounting and reporting modules manage this function from within the existing enterprise resource planning system and utilize Oracle Business Intelligence solutions to provide immediate insight into an organization’s environmental information to pinpoint and manage CO2 and cost-cutting opportunities
