Profit's special issue spotlights Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized partners

November 2012

This month, Profit readers should check out the special issue spotlighting Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized projects. To become Specialized, Oracle partners have to meet specific documented presales, sales, and implementation criteria set out by Oracle. They also need to prove that they have had experience in implementing the products they specialize in, and provide positive customer references from prior implementations. It’s clear from the stories in this special issue that OPN Specialized partners can deliver under extremely demanding business conditions and that the expertise Oracle requires them to demonstrate is effectively put to work in the field. Here, take a look at the variety of products, industries, geographic regions, and business challenges profiled in this special edition.

“Initially, Digicel was looking to upgrade the server and the storage, but we also had them look at Oracle Exadata. We discussed the benefits of the architecture for their particular needs, and they took our advice and decided to go with it.” —Ian McKay, senior business development manager at Oracle Specialized Partner Fujitsu Caribbean

“Customers can come and put their solutions on it, run it, and witness for themselves how they can benefit from a platform like this...We are positioning ourselves as trusted advisors to our customers and are investing in Oracle Exalogic and Oracle Exadata so customers are able to try them before they buy them.” —Howard Moore, CEO and cofounder of Keste, an Oracle Specialized Partner that operates a Center of Excellence for Engineered Solutions

“We're using Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g to extend our products' capabilities, particularly in the arena of cloud computing, because MICROS's global hosting business is growing at a pace of more than 30 percent annually. This will preserve our leadership position in the market.” —Boro Petrovic, chief technology officer at Oracle Specialized Partner MICROS Systems

“This was an important project for NEC. The knowledge gained during this project will be useful not only in future projects pursued by ANA but also for other clients that are considering the use of SOA.” —Seira Takahashi, IT Software Division chief at Oracle PartnerNetwork Specialized Partner NEC
