Oracle AppAdvantage Builds Pathways to Business Transformation

With budget constraints and near-term demands on IT, enterprises have long struggled to align IT initiatives and roadmaps with business objectives and strategy. Oracle AppAdvantage enables companies to design an IT architecture strategy that addresses that challenge.

“Oracle AppAdvantage is Oracle’s approach to maximizing the value of Oracle’s enterprise applications with Oracle Fusion Middleware,” says Howard Beader, senior director of product marketing.

So how do you get started? The first step is to leverage core enterprise applications to lower IT costs through standardization, consolidation, and centralization. From there, companies can use Oracle AppAdvantage to simplify, differentiate, and innovate—extending and enhancing the business value of enterprise applications connected with open, standards-based integration.

Each layer of transformation—simplification, differentiation, and innovation—contains core business value entry points or focus areas that can offer specific and immediate value to organizations. For the simplification layer of transformation, Oracle suggests that organizations focus on improving enterprise security, maximizing performance and availability, and optimizing their platform. And for the differentiation layer of transformation, organizations should focus on extending their core applications, integrating to cloud, and improving business process agility.

“These entry points identify common uses of Oracle Fusion Middleware throughout Oracle’s enterprise applications customer base,” says Beader. “For example, we’ve identified three common entry points for the innovation layer of transformation—mobile, self-service, and online engagement.”

Oracle works with customers to help them move forward leveraging their current IT investments while modernizing their IT platform and transforming for the future.

“The breadth of Oracle Fusion Middleware offers a wide range of options in enhancing the value of enterprise applications, and Oracle AppAdvantage gives Oracle’s enterprise applications customers multiple ways to lower costs while also driving business growth,” says Beader.
