Big Presence for Oracle Business Analytics and Big Data at Oracle OpenWorld 2013

Oracle Business Analytics and big data solutions were major focuses at this year's Oracle OpenWorld conference, with more than 200 sessions covering enterprise performance management (EPM), business intelligence (BI), analytics, big data, and Oracle Exalytics.

"Attendees were exposed to unprecedented insight into strategies to capture, store, and manage big data. They also learned about harnessing Oracle Business Analytics solutions to strategize, plan, optimize operations, and capture new market opportunities," says Balaji Yelamanchili, senior vice president of product development, Oracle.

Oracle Exalytics T5-8 Scales Up to Deliver Analytic Insights
At Oracle OpenWorld, Oracle announced Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine T5-8, a breakthrough engineered system based on Oracle’s SPARC T5-8 server with 4TB of memory per machine to drive extreme performance for BI and EPM applications. Built using industry-standard hardware, market-leading BI software, and in-memory database technology, Oracle Exalytics delivers answers to business questions with unmatched speed, intelligence, and simplicity.

“Data provides the critical competitive advantage, but only for those who are able to uncover business insights in a timely manner,” says Paul Rodwick, vice president of product management, Oracle. “Oracle Exalytics T5-8 enables organizations to quickly garner powerful insights from their data, allowing them to make smarter decisions, faster. Achieving extreme performance by integrating end-to-end engineered hardware and software, customers can focus on achieving their strategic business objectives, rather than worrying about maintaining complex and cumbersome data center operations.”

Oracle Exalytics is experiencing strong adoption globally, doubling the number of customers in the last six months, with new customers in nearly every region and industry sector. Sodexo, SoftBank, Cablemás, WorleyParsons, Santos, Zagrebačka banka, Cablevisón, Avago Technologies, United Supermarkets, Immonet GmbH, Nilson Group AB, Siemens Healthcare, Pinellas County, and Ministero del Lavoro are among the many organizations leveraging Oracle Exalytics to deliver extreme performance for their mission-critical BI and EPM applications.
