New Release of Oracle Endeca Information Discovery Solutions Gives Power to Business Users

Launched in March 2013, the new release of Oracle Endeca Information Discovery solutions is helping companies create transformational business opportunities with key new features ranging from self-service data loading to a completely redesigned look and feel.

To complement traditional business analytics solutions, Oracle Endeca Information Discovery solutions unlock insights from any source by enabling the iterative exploration of information through interactive visualization—without having to predefine report structures. Data sources can be structured, semistructured, or unstructured, and originate from inside or outside the data warehouse.

"This release significantly expands the power of decision-makers to discover root causes, analyze sentiment, understand unexpected or unusual developments, and then use these insights to drive truly transformative business opportunities," says Chris Lynskey, senior director of software development, Oracle Endeca Information Discovery solutions. "And they can do it all at the speed of thought when they run Oracle Endeca Information Discovery solutions on Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine." Plus, new integration with Oracle Business Intelligence Server enables users to explore new, diverse data sources alongside trusted data from existing business intelligence applications.

Power to the User
Oracle Endeca Information Discovery solutions offer a completely redesigned look and feel that is both more sophisticated and more streamlined.

The latest release also empowers business users to upload information from spreadsheets without any IT involvement—further reducing costs and speeding time-to-value.

Other key new features include

  • New visualization tools
  • Localization in 10 languages and support for 22 languages
  • Expanded collaboration capabilities, including the ability to create and share applications
