New Feature Pack Adds Efficiency Tools to Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM

In a move that signals Oracle’s continuing investments in Oracle’s PeopleSoft human capital management solutions, the company announced the availability of PeopleSoft HCM Feature Pack 2 capabilities.

The feature pack builds on the new features introduced in PeopleSoft HCM solutions, which include self-service human resources tools for employees and managers. Oracle feature packs provide new functionality between major releases of the core application for quicker responses to customer requests for new features.

New capabilities in Feature Pack 2 include

Manager Dashboard
The dashboard offers a home page that consolidates key management, staff, and business unit data into a single at-a-glance access point. The dashboard’s content is configurable to support key metrics and decisions via individual drag-and-drop pagelets enabled by new PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.52 technology.

Talent Summary
With this unified view of talent management-related data for individual employees, administrators can select the content of pagelets that will appear on the Talent Summary based on the organization’s priorities. Managers can personalize the page based on their preferences for presentation layouts and the information they want to emphasize.

Pivot Grid
This new analytic capability lets users filter data within PeopleSoft applications without having to export data to an external spreadsheet or data warehouse. Data for pivot grids is generated by PeopleSoft Query and can be rendered in charts or analytical grids. Users can add pivot grids to application pages or pagelets.

“We listened to our HCM customers and focused on delivering features such as Manager Dashboard and Talent Summary to help managers be more productive at managing their resources, better utilize and reward their employees, and gain valuable insight into their organization and talent pool,” says Paco Aubrejuan, group vice president, Oracle’s PeopleSoft.

Other delivered features include: matrix or dotted-line relationship management, interactive company directory, total rewards statement, Clairvia integration for time and labor, single euro payments area (SEPA), templates made available, and Spanish redundancy procedure (ERE) for global payroll.
