Now Available: New Mobile Applications for Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

In order to meet the needs of an increasingly mobile workforce, Oracle has launched three new mobile applications for Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, enabling busy professionals to perform critical tasks and decision-making on the go.

“Organizations need to enable their employees to access and leverage critical business information in real time," says Rebecca Wettemann, vice president of research, Nucleus Research. "Oracle is one of the vendors that is meeting this demand, and with the new JD Edwards EnterpriseOne mobile applications and its broader mobile device support, it is well positioned to help its customers realize the promise of the mobile—and more productive—workforce."

The new JD Edwards EnterpriseOne mobile functionality includes
  • Mobile requisition self-service approval
Provides real-time transaction processing for the review, approval, and/or rejection of requisitions
  • Mobile purchase order approval
Enables mobile workers to review and approve purchase orders regardless of physical location
  • Mobile sales inquiry
Provides sales representatives, service technicians, and managers on-demand access to sales orders, item availability, and item base price
Seamless Integration, Easy to Use
To ensure the new mobile applications are a seamless extension of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application suite, they were built using Oracle Application Development Framework Mobile Client, which simplifies application creation and deployment thanks to a single, standard Java user interface framework and tooling for all supported devices.

And to ensure data integrity, the mobile applications leverage the same business logic and interact with the same data tables as the existing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Web applications.

“The new mobile apps for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne are an example of our continued commitment to helping customers access critical business information in the format that best fits their needs," Lyle Ekdahl, JD Edwards group vice president general manager, Oracle.
