Gartner Security Summit Offers In-Depth Look at Database Security

Oracle will join a host of experts, including Michael Dell and White House cybersecurity coordinator Howard Schmidt, at the Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit 2012, June 11–14 in Washington DC.

The theme of Gartner’s three-day security summit is “Strategic Roadmaps to Secure the Enterprise and Reduce Risk.” This event features more than 140 sessions and 5 in-depth knowledge tracks designed to help enterprises build an advanced security and risk management strategy based on best practices that support business performance.

Oracle will discuss and demonstrate the benefits of securing sensitive enterprise data at the source—the database. Oracle’s comprehensive portfolio, including Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle Database Vault, Oracle Database Firewall, Oracle Audit Vault, Oracle Label Security, and Oracle Data Masking, can help organizations adopt a defense in depth posture to safeguard against data breaches, reduce the risk of insider threats, and achieve regulatory compliance—all without requiring changes to existing applications or costly investments in third-party solutions.

Oracle's dedicated session, Checkmate: Data is King, will take place on Tuesday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. in Potomac Ballroom 1.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Oracle security experts throughout the event.
Other hot topics to be covered discussed at Gartner’s security summit include
  • Cloud security
  • Advanced persistent threats
  • Secure mobile applications
  • Risk management and compliance
  • Identity management
