Avoid the Risks of Cloud-Based HCM with Oracle Fusion Applications

Many HR organizations today are struggling with HCM systems that fall short when it comes to meeting the strategic demands of managing a talented workforce. This helps explain why 84 percent of HR executives are currently considering fundamental changes to their HCM operations, according to research by Deloitte Consulting.

The report, Human Capital Trends 2011: Evolution/Revolution, also says that HCM executives say cloud-based solutions can bring big changes to HCM departments by making them more responsive and competitive.

But not all these solutions are the same. Without the right technologies in place, cloud-based HCM can lead to fragmented, inflexible systems with limited functionality that result in inconsistent global HR processes, say Oracle HCM experts.

The Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management family of applications provides cloud-based capabilities that can avoid these drawbacks. Unlike first-generation software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions from niche vendors, the Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management family of applications provides a complete and integrated cloud option. Its full lineup of HCM modules address the entire talent management lifecycle, from recruiting, performance, and learning to career development and succession planning.

Embedded business intelligence tools also help HCM professionals improve worker retention and performance with forward-looking predictive analytics that outperform traditional reporting tools that only take historic data into account.

Together, these capabilities help human resource organizations address regulations and complex employment relationships across countries while also addressing unique local requirements. And the cloud-based capabilities in the Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management family of applications can coexist with current solutions. And lastly, security controls engineered into the Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management family assure that users see only the HR data they are authorized to view.
