Can You Be a Cloud Hero? Oracle Cloud Solutions Drive Transformation

In the world of fiction, superheroes have been known to turn to Oracle Cloud solutions for help.

But in the real world, while almost everyone now understands the potential value of cloud computing, not every organization has yet realized its potential. That’s because not all clouds are created equal. But Oracle Cloud customers—more than 10,000 of them and more than 2 million users relying on Oracle Cloud every day—have a better choice.

Oracle Cloud Solutions are the most comprehensive and integrated, as well as the most modern and flexible—and they offer the greatest reliability and security. Check out the customer snapshots below to learn how these customers became cloud heroes when they implemented Oracle solutions to transform their businesses.

British Telecom
One of the world's leading telecom providers, British Telecom (BT) saw its IT infrastructure grow to include 17,000 databases and 30,000 servers.

To reduce cost and complexity, BT initiated a project to migrate its non-UK business data from a mixture of disparate spreadsheets, various accounting platforms and software, and legacy Oracle systems onto a single instance of Oracle E-Business Suite. To help make that happen faster and more efficiently, BT selected Oracle Managed Cloud Services to host its financial modules at Oracle’s Texas data center.

“By consolidating many disparate systems and standardizing onto a single financial management platform, hosted by Oracle Managed Cloud Services, we have greatly improved transparency, efficiency, and control throughout our non-UK business operations,” explains Mark Wade, customer experience director, BT.

Domino's Pizza
The world leader in pizza delivery, Domino's Pizza has some 9,000 hourly employees. Because the typical turnover rate for retail hourly employees is in excess of 50 percent, Domino's faced a significant challenge in attracting and retaining exceptional staff.

In response, Domino's turned to Oracle Taleo Cloud Service to recruit top talent, align that talent to key goals, manage performance, and develop and compensate top performers. So far benefits include

  • 28 percent reduction in corporate store employee turnover, and lowered rates of termination due to gross misconduct
  • Lower recruiting costs, including a 75 percent reduction in costs related to scanning and shipping documents
  • Doubling of applicant flow

AutoTrader
After a series of major acquisitions, AutoTrader—the largest digital automotive marketplace in the US—decided to standardize on a single, integrated platform that included reliance on Oracle Managed Cloud Services.

"We embraced Oracle Cloud Services because Oracle has the expertise to manage its own technology platform, so we could allow our technology and business folks to focus on the technology that is more core to our differentiation and our success," explains Dallas Clement, CFO, AutoTrader Group.
