Transform Business Processes with Oracle In-Memory Applications and Oracle SuperCluster
Enterprises can gain important new options for transforming their business processes for greater efficiency and deeper analytical insights by combining Oracle In-Memory Applications with Oracle SuperCluster and other members of Oracle’s engineered systems family.
“The extreme performance made possible by this pairing creates new processing capabilities that weren’t feasible in the past,” says Carl Ray, Oracle’s senior product marketing director. “This enables executives to fundamentally change how they gather information and where and when they deliver it thanks to improved application responsiveness, better information, and more insights into business opportunities.”

Extreme Performance with Oracle SuperCluster
The applications are designed to run exclusively on Oracle’s engineered systems, such as Oracle SuperCluster. “Oracle SuperCluster integrates both the database and application tiers within a single engineered system that Oracle optimizes for the highest levels of performance,” says Principal Product Marketing Director for Oracle SuperCluster Steve Rudinsky.
Oracle SuperCluster M6-32 is Oracle’s fastest and most scalable engineered system. Oracle SuperCluster M6-32 scales up to 32 terabytes of memory and up to 32 SPARC M6 processors and comes with Oracle Exadata Storage Servers.
Oracle SuperCluster T5-8 combines high performance, high availability, and rapid deployment for database and application consolidation and private cloud infrastructures. It combines up to 4 terabytes of memory and 16 SPARC T5 processors with Oracle Exadata Storage Servers for extreme database performance and compression.
Significant business transformations made possible with Oracle In-Memory Applications and Oracle’s engineered systems include the ability to turn high-volume batch processes into near real-time, online activities. For example, organizations can run Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Sales Advisor on Oracle SuperCluster to transform order capture activities in call centers into upsell opportunities. In real time, call center representatives see potential pricing discounts for particular customers, complementary product offerings, volume discounts, and profitability calculations. Making this information available as representatives are engaged with customers enables better cross-selling and upselling opportunities. “Without Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Sales Advisor, call center representatives would need hours to run and review batch reports, which is not practical when they are actively communicating with customers,” Ray says.
