New Cloud Option for Oracle Policy Automation

Oracle recently unveiled a new cloud-based option for its highly regarded Oracle Policy Automation, which for the first time makes the solution available to agencies via a secure cloud managed by Oracle.

With the introduction of the cloud-based option for Oracle Policy Automation, agencies now have an even more cost-effective means of ensuring that citizens always get up-to-date advice to determine benefit eligibility, welfare payments, tax obligations, license and permit eligibility, and much more.

“This is especially important for public sector agencies that don’t have large IT budgets,” says Heike Lorenz, global product marketing director for Oracle Policy Automation. “They can quickly take advantage of the solution’s capabilities and respond to legislation and policy changes in days instead of months.”

With the new cloud-based option, agencies can significantly reduce the rate of queries and appeals by explaining how each decision is made while also reducing the number of contacts citizens need to make to get the right answer.

“For government agencies, the detailed reporting ensures results are accurate and transparent, which reduces the number of appeals,” Lorenz says. “For citizens, this is powerful because it lets them know exactly what benefits they are entitled to with the least number of questions asked.”
