New User Interface Gives Mobile Workers Anytime Access to Oracle’s Siebel CRM

Oracle introduced an updated user interface for Oracle’s Siebel CRM that gives agency personnel access to the application via all popular Web browsers and a wide variety of computing hardware, including the latest smartphones and tablets.

“This new version of the user interface expands the ways public sector organizations can use Siebel CRM,” says Tiffany Blair, product strategy manager for public sector CRM. “Agencies can now take advantage of familiar Web 2.0 and consumer-oriented Web features for government applications, which creates an instant familiarity for both government employees and citizens alike.”

Known as Oracle’s open UI, the new interface supports Web-based clients, which means authorized users can log into a URL to access intuitive navigation menus, touchscreen controls, and standard Web browser features, such as map and URL integrations.

“Now people can take Siebel CRM on the road with them,” Blair says. “And because the interface is device independent, users can take advantage of the native capabilities of their tablets and smartphones, along with the features and functions of the Siebel CRM application.”

To help agencies comply with accessibility requirements, the user interface supports the World Wide Web Consortium’s WAI-ARIA standards for assuring that Web-based programs and content are readily available to people with disabilities.

Public sector organizations can install the new interface by implementing or upgrading to the latest version of Siebel CRM. Read details about Oracle’s open UI.
