Latest Oracle Business Intelligence Applications Release Drives Greater Insight into Talent and Procurement

In May 2014, Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 11.1.1.8.1, which includes new capabilities for greater insight into procure-to-pay and talent management processes.

The latest release includes prebuilt connectors between Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics and Oracle's JD Edwards solutions. And talent profile analytics, a new module of Oracle Human Resources Analytics, enables frontline managers to assess talent strengths, identify skills gaps, and then quickly design new programs to maximize workforce performance.

"Oracle Business Intelligence Applications provide a critical platform for unlocking and analyzing enterprise-level and business-level insights. The latest updates reduce the time and complexity needed to achieve a competitive advantage through data," says Paul Rodwick, vice president of product management, Oracle.

Optimize Procurement Practices
Thanks to a new adapter that provides out-of-the-box integration between Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solutions, purchasing and sourcing organizations can now more quickly identify savings opportunities and improve operational performance through decision-ready, best practice analytics.

Executives, managers, and frontline employees relying on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne gain increased visibility into corporate spend as well as the complete procure-to-pay process, with comprehensive analyses of procurement performance, supplier performance, supplier payable trends, and employee expenses.

Oracle Procurement and Spend Analytics is tightly integrated with the other solutions in the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications product line, enabling organizations to quickly combine procurement system data with data from across the organization, including financial systems.

"Now, line-of-business managers can get a holistic view of their business performance much more quickly, and then use that insight to drive better business outcomes," says Rodwick.

Cultivate High-Potential Talent
With the new talent profile analytics module of Oracle Human Resources Analytics, organizations can develop leaders through greater insight into job profiles, employee skills, and competency levels.

Built-in key performance metrics and advanced data visualization capabilities, including the nine-box performance-potential matrix, deliver insights to help both human resources organizations and managers align talent needs and strategies with business goals.

Specifically, managers can
  • Perform skill gap analysis to pinpoint skill and knowledge shortfalls
  • Improve recruitment decisions
  • Build new training programs to maximize employee success
  • Enhance assessment of succession and turnover
And to speed and simplify deployment, talent profile analytics has prebuilt connectors with Oracle's PeopleSoft applications.
