Oracle Launches Oracle Cloud Marketplace for Partner Applications That Extend Oracle Cloud
This fall, Oracle launched the Oracle Cloud Marketplace, a global marketplace where partners can publish applications and customers can browse through and discover new solutions to address their business needs.
"As cloud, mobile, and social technologies continue to proliferate, organizations increasingly want rapid, easy access to business applications that are not only innovative but also trusted," explains Steve Miranda, Oracle executive vice president, applications development. "With Oracle Cloud Marketplace, partners can quickly build such solutions, then deliver them to customers with unprecedented speed."
Rapidly Growing Marketplace of Solutions
Already featuring more than 100 business applications, the Oracle Cloud Marketplace enables customers to easily find, evaluate, and buy innovative solutions, thanks to an easily searchable interface that also provides relevant details to help determine a solution's value—including user ratings and reviews. Current offerings include
- Marketing applications: from social data to webcast and events management
- Sales applications: from contact management and sales intelligence to productivity and compensation management
- Service applications: from communication to help desk management
Oracle expects the range of solutions to quickly expand to include finance and operations, human resources, and software development solutions.
Fast Track for Partners
Oracle partners can accelerate application development with Oracle Cloud platform as a service, a functionally rich, standards-based, secure, enterprise platform. They can quickly extend Oracle software as a service applications, while ensuring interoperability. And then they can rapidly reach out to Oracle customers with their innovative new offerings.
