Fast and Flexible: Oracle Data Integrator 12c

Today’s extract, load, and transform (ELT) tools need to be both faster and more flexible if they are going to effectively provide data integration support to today’s next-generation big data and business analytics deployments. Enter Oracle Data Integrator 12c, which has been built with the design principles of speed and flexibility in mind.

The new release of Oracle Data Integrator takes greater advantage of multicore processors to load data in parallel, making it orders of magnitude faster in support of growing volumes of big data. This capability works on Oracle’s engineered systems’ architectures as well as on any heterogeneous platform.

Oracle Data Integrator 12c also presents developers with a simple, declarative, flow-based mapping interface that is easy to use. Oracle has optimized its data integration tools for databases and now provides tighter integration with Oracle Warehouse Builder. Developers can use Oracle Data Integrator to target any database environment they choose, including big data platforms such as Hive, Hadoop Distributed File System, and Oracle Big Data Appliance.

Oracle Data Integrator 12c is also optimized to work closely with business analytics and data warehousing solutions. Its integration with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle’s industry-leading data replication software, helps customers achieve real-time data integration for business intelligence and data warehousing. In fact, the latest version of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications utilizes Oracle Data Integrator as its core ELT underpinning. By using Oracle Data Integrator and Oracle GoldenGate 12c solutions together with Oracle Business Analytics solutions, customers benefit from lower total cost of ownership, improved data lineage, and better business insights from real-time data.
