Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud Market Heats Up as Customers Look to Oracle to Modernize Finance

“If you are considering Oracle ERP Cloud, what are you waiting for?” asks California Academy of Sciences Controller Kristin Klingvall in a new video featuring senior finance executives talking about why they selected Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning Cloud (Oracle ERP Cloud) to modernize their finance operations.

Based on the market momentum Oracle ERP Cloud has experienced so far in 2014, many CFOs aren’t waiting any longer to realize the benefits of moving their ERP platform into Oracle Cloud, where they can access new process innovations and support rapid growth while ensuring the security of their data.

Other key reasons cited by customers include the sophisticated analytics and reporting in Oracle ERP Cloud, and its industry-leading workflow and collaboration capabilities, all with the inherent advantages of a cloud-based solution.

“Lending Club is an innovative, data-intensive, high-growth company, and we needed a solution and partner that could match us,” says Carrie Dolan, chief financial officer of Lending Club, in a new video. “We conducted a thorough review of our options, and Oracle ERP Cloud was the clear winner in terms of capabilities and business value as well as commitment to us as a customer.”

Oracle ERP Cloud is a suite of integrated applications for financial, procurement, and project portfolio management. Users can monitor and manage key performance indicators and take advantage of in-context analytics to power decision-making. Native collaboration within the solution allows users to complete tasks more efficiently. Oracle ERP Cloud is built on the Oracle Cloud infrastructure, which delivers high performance and scalability, unparalleled reliability, and an intense focus on security.

"We believe the accounting and finance department is a customer service department for all the other groups,” says Brandon Byrne, vice president of finance at Curse, a leader in online media and gaming, in a recent video. “We don't go about raising revenue for our organization—they do, and so our job is to support what they're doing. Oftentimes, that support looks like data and information that helps them make better decisions. The tools we have with Oracle ERP Cloud really help us to do that more efficiently, and to provide data that we just weren't able to provide before.”

The California Academy of Sciences selected Oracle ERP Cloud because of its flexibility, integration, and modern, state-of-the-art look. “It can grow along with the Academy,” says Kristin Klingvall, controller, in a new video. “It has potential to incorporate other modules that we don't currently have. And it certainly puts us in a much better position to do things better.”
