Oracle Talent Management Cloud Service Enhances Oracle’s Human Capital Management Portfolio

Oracle recently released new details about its plans to integrate Oracle Taleo recruiting solutions into its portfolio of existing human capital management (HCM) solutions to help organizations recruit top talent, align talent to key business goals, and manage and compensate employees.

Oracle Talent Management Cloud Service collects key information about talent throughout the employment lifecycle to help employees improve performance and enhance the organization’s success. The new capabilities provide a range of benefits for users of Oracle HCM applications, including Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management, Oracle E-Business Suite HCM applications, and Oracle’s PeopleSoft HCM applications.

Plans for Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management
Organizations that use Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management as their system of record will be able to integrate Oracle Taleo’s recruiting capabilities to achieve unified business processes that manage data from Oracle Fusion Applications and Oracle Taleo products. Oracle plans to support deep integration that will provide a seamless, end-to-end solution at the data, business process, and user interface layers. All three layers will be addressed in phases, and Oracle says its immediate priority is to support the job opening requisition-to-hire business process.

In addition, Oracle is building a short- and long-term roadmap for productizing the integration and delivering that integration in phases. Oracle envisions a tightly coupled integration that will deliver
  • Integrated master data
  • Process flows to support new hire conversion, internal mobility, succession planning, organizational chart open position access, and more
  • Analytics capabilities to support predictive analytics and integrated talent reporting
Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management Integrations
Oracle Taleo solutions will provide a Web-based recruiting module for customers of Oracle E-Business Suite’s HCM on-premise workforce and talent management applications. Oracle Fusion Performance Management and Oracle Fusion Compensation are already integrated with Oracle E-Business Suite. The aim is to seamlessly support unified business processes that manage data from Oracle Taleo recruiting applications to Oracle E-Business Suite human capital management applications.

Oracle is also creating an integration roadmap for Oracle E-Business Suite human capital management applications. The top priority will be to support the job opening requisition-to-hire business process, as well as to convert candidates created in Oracle Taleo recruiting applications to new hires in Oracle E-Business Suite human capital management applications and to support single sign-on among the applications.

Plans for Oracle’s PeopleSoft Human Capital Management
With the same priority emphasis on the job opening requisition-to-hire business process, Oracle is working to support unified business processes between Oracle’s PeopleSoft human capital management applications and Oracle Taleo products.

While many customers have already successfully integrated with PeopleSoft and third-party human resources systems using Oracle Taleo’s customer connect capabilities, Oracle expects to be able to
  • Reduce or eliminate the need for significant manual integration tasks
  • Leverage existing PeopleSoft integration tools within the application
  • Improve process and mapping capabilities
  • Extend integration through a phased approach to other activities, including unified talent acquisition reporting, onboarding and approval processes, and business rules enforcement
