What is the purpose of Continuing Professional Education?

Most states require continuing professional education (CPE) for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to maintain active licenses. This continuing professional education is intended to maintain and/or improve a CPA's professional competence.
Is Oracle University a qualified CPE Program sponsor?
Yes. Oracle University is able to offer CPE credit for its classes as it meets the standards and quality assurance requirements necessary to be a CPE program sponsor. A CPE program sponsor is the individual or organization responsible for setting learning objectives, developing the program materials to achieve such objectives, offering a program to participants, and maintaining the documentation required by these standards.
Oracle University Americas is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
What do you gain with CPE certificates?
Your CPE certificate will include 7 CPE hours per day for each Oracle University class you attend that qualifies for CPE credit. CPE requirements vary by state, but these 7 CPE hours per day can be applied toward your state's CPE requirements.
How will you receive your CPE certificate?
You will be able to access your CPE certificate in pdf format at the completion of class in the same manner you accessed your eKit.
Whom may I contact to replace a certificate?

Are all Oracle University instructor led courses approved for CPE credit?
No, not all courses qualify. Please see click on the link above to view the names of all approved courses. The course description includes the course duration and the number of CPE credits that each class is approved for.
Does Oracle University offer CPE credits for Self-Study CD's?
No. Only Instructor Led Training classes qualify for CPE credit. Self-Study CD's and prerecorded Knowledge Center classes are not eligible for CPE credit.
Does Oracle University offer CPE credits for occupations other than Certified Public Accountants?
No. At this time, Oracle University is only qualified to offer Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits to Certified Public Accountants (CPAs).
Is CPE credit available for Private/Tailored events?
Yes. The approved courses are eligible for CPE credit whether that course is delivered in an Oracle Education Center or on-site at your company location.
