John is an outstanding teacher with outstanding product knowledge: he’s the dictionary definition of “subject matter expert.” He made our class fun and interesting as well as informative. He was very approachable and really took time to help all students. He also provided a wealth of information about supplemental materials and resources that are available online to help us learn more about Oracle products―he even sent us follow-up tips and notes. His personality and classroom presentation made this the best formal education experience I’ve had in a long career. If my department ever has a private training event, I’ll ask my manager to request John.

Come prepared for class. Show at least one demo for each lesson. Always be available during lab sessions. Don’t be merely an instructor all the time―being a friend sometimes matters, too. Think positively and wear a smile.

Irina kept the class interesting and was very knowledgeable about PeopleSoft products. She has a super personality that kept the class engaged in the topics, and she encouraged synthesizing the information to enhance learning. Irina’s method of teaching resulted not only in the learning of new concepts, but in retaining the information that we’d learned. She also encouraged active participation, which helped me stay focused. We were never sidetracked for very long because Irina was quickly able to get people back on track if they got “lost” in navigation or other activities.
