Oracle is committed to developing practices and products that help protect the environment, and that commitment includes a focus on reducing the footprint of its conferences.

Oracle OpenWorld attendees traveling to San Francisco can reduce their travel footprint by choosing the most direct flights and avoiding layovers; most emissions are produced during take off and landings. Attendees can further offset flight emissions by purchasing carbon offsets to balance the carbon dioxide their flights emit. Several of the airlines offering discounts on Oracle OpenWorld flights also have offset programs in place.

JetBlue: Those flying with JetBlue can purchase a carbon offset as a separate transaction at www.carbonfund.org/jetblue. JetBlue's carbon-offset page shows you exactly what programs your offset supports.

Lufthansa: Those flying with Lufthansa can purchase a carbon offset as a separate transaction at lufthansa.myclimate.org/EN. Lufthansa's carbon-offset program supports climate protection projects that assist in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

United: Those flying with United can purchase a carbon offset as a separate transaction by visiting co2offsets.sustainabletravelinternational.org/ua/offsets. United allows customers to select from its Offset Portfolio which programs their offsets will support.

Virgin America: If you're flying Virgin America, you can purchase a carbon offset while you are booking your flight or while in-flight via the Virgin America RED in-flight entertainment system.

BART

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) runs regular trains from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland International Airport (OAK) to downtown San Francisco. See below for schedules and location information.

ADA Accessible Transportation

Oracle OpenWorld Shuttles: Oracle OpenWorld shuttle options include a dedicated ADA minibus available for transportation to and from hotels, Moscone Center, and evening events. Contact the shuttle desk at +1.650.622.3101 between Sunday, October 11 and Thursday, October 15 to schedule transportation via this minibus. Once you have scheduled transportation, you may update your schedule at anytime during shuttle hours by phoning the desk or notifying shuttle supervisors curbside. Please provide at least 30 minutes' advance notice for any schedule changes.

San Francisco Taxis: Many San Francisco taxi companies also provide accessible vehicles. To locate taxi companies with ramp taxis, find rate information, and more, visit San Francisco's San Francisco Taxicab Commission Web page.

Airport Transportation: SuperShuttle operates ADA accessible vehicles that you can schedule for transport to and from Oakland International Airport (OAK), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and San Jose International Airport (SJC). Howard Street Closure

Oracle thanks the city of San Francisco and the Yerba Buena Alliance for supporting Oracle OpenWorld and welcoming tens of thousands of Oracle customers and partners to the city for five days of education and networking.

To accommodate the size of this year's event, Howard Street will be closed between Third and Fourth streets from 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 16.
