Applications Tools and Technology
Oracle OpenWorld's Applications Tools and Technology Hands-on Lab sessions give users firsthand experience with Oracle's improvements to lifecycle management, integration, and secure enterprise search. In lifecycle management labs, users get hands-on experience with next-generation system management offerings, Oracle Application Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle Application Change Management Pack for Oracle E-Business Suite. The integration theme introduces users to Oracle E-Business Suite's integrated SOA gateway, a robust, standards-based integration infrastructure that enables organizations to create agile and flexible integration architecture from Oracle E-Business Suite for seamless integrations across the heterogeneous IT ecosystem. Finally, with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search, users can experience the value of Oracle secure enterprise search integration with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Release 10 and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 that enables a secure and fast search mechanism for users to search for relevant transactions or information.

JD Edwards
Back by popular demand! Hands-on Labs focused on Oracle's JD Edwards applications lines are available this year at Oracle OpenWorld. New in 2009 are lab sessions for JD Edwards World products. All JD Edwards labs offer a unique opportunity for users to interactively learn the given topic. Each attendee will be heads-down with his or her own workstation and guided by the lab instructors. Offerings for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne include implementing the Oracle Enterprise Manager application pack, creating business accelerators, building Web services, and reporting with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher. JD Edwards World lab topics include electronic document distribution, reporting with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, and building Web services. Labs focused on using Oracle Business Intelligence Applications will be offered as well.
Oracle Data Integration
Data integration is more than simply about extract, transform, and load (ETL); it's about unifying information for improving business agility. This set of Hands-on Labs highlights for DBAs, developers, architects, and BI managers best practices for achieving greater business agility using Oracle's data integration products, with specific focus on Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition. Participants will learn how to leverage high-performance E-LT (an innovation over traditional ETL) principles, implement real-time data warehousing, and develop bulk data services and business intelligence services into their own data-centric architectures.
