The Oracle Environment, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) is designed to provide a safe and eco-friendly work environment and to verify compliance with pertinent laws, regulations and other requirements. Corporate programs, procedures and plans may be modified to incorporate specific local requirements and circumstances at individual facilities. The EHSMS is aligned with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 standard and uses a continual improvement process consisting of a Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology to address environmental and occupational health and safety concerns pertaining to Oracle's activities, products and services and their potential impact on employees, the environment and surrounding community. - The Environment, Health and Safety Policy

These interrelated activities represent a system which places emphasis on prevention and continual improvement. Objectives take into account legislative requirements and information regarding environmental concerns as well as health and safety risks and their potential workplace effect on employees, visitors and contractors. In addition, Oracle is committed to reducing, reusing, and/or recycling natural resources whenever possible. We endeavor to reduce waste generated by our global operations and where possible eliminating or minimizing waste at the source. When these options are not available, all wastes are disposed in an environmentally responsible way. ISO 14001 Certification The Following Oracle locations are certified to the ISO 14001:2004 standard: Hillsboro, Oregon and Louisville, Colorado. Objectives and targets at our certified locations are designed to ensure environmental protection and increased operational efficiency and include solid waste reduction and enhanced management of air, water and waste controls. |
