| As turnover in electronic equipment has increased, global concern has grown about the proper disposal of electronic waste. Oracle believes we have a responsibility to consider and plan for every phase in our products' life cycles, from design and packaging to the stage when electronic components and equipment naturally reach an end of life. In addition, governments worldwide have developed Electronic Waste regulations. Oracle has created an extensive product return program that complies with regulations in various geographies worldwide. Learn more about some of these programs such as EU WEEE, California, Maine and the Canadian Provinces here. End users can have complete confidence that their end-of-life equipment will be managed securely and responsibly once returned to Oracle because used electronic equipment is managed by approved recycling partners, all of whom are ISO 14001, OSHAS18001 and R2 certified along with other industry standard certifications. Our standards for selecting recycling partners are available here Oracle Electronic Recycler Standard. End of life products are prioritized for reuse and recovery when viable, and only those with no reuse potential are sent for recycling. Oracle's program directs less than 1% of the total weight of returned electronic products sent to the recycling partner to local landfills. We continually work with our recycling partners to find opportunities that will ultimately reduce this percentage to zero. Our recycling track is available here Electronic Waste Recycling Metrics.
