| Leading industry analyst firm, IDC, has named Oracle as the leader (again) in the data warehouse platform market based on 2011 software revenue. IDC's report, Worldwide Business Analytics Software 2012-2016 Forcast and 2011 Vendor Shares, Dan Vesset, July 2012 (IDC #235494) highlights that: - Oracle Database grew its lead in worldwide data warehouse management software revenue to 42 percent share based on 2011 software revenues.
- Oracle's growth in 2011 of 20.9% outperformed the market average of 16.7%, and that of its closest three competitors.
- Oracle continued as the largest data warehouse management software vendor with well over US $3.1 billion in worldwide total software revenues.
