Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database

Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database is a full-featured relational database that’s designed to run in the application tier and store all data in main memory. This makes the reading or writing of data as simple and fast as accessing RAM. As a result, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database delivers much faster transaction processing and accelerates analytics applications.

Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database

  • Delivers extremely fast response times by storing data in main memory. With no network latency or disk I/O, response time is dramatically faster, with transactions taking just microseconds, and complex analytic queries happening at the speed of thought.
  • Provides enterprise-class reliability and availability by logging data and transactions to disk to enable a full recovery if the server goes down. With high speed and very simple replication, Oracle TimesTen can be configured for high availability and instant failover.
  • Comes in library form and is linked to your application. With no administrator required, Oracle TimesTen is easily embeddable.
  • Oracle TimesTen supports full SQL transaction semantics and includes OCI, Pro*C and PL/SQL for compatibility with Oracle Database.
  • Accelerate existing Oracle Database applications when used as a high performance cache for Oracle Database Enterprise Edition. See Oracle In-Memory Database Cache for more information.
