The SPARC T5-8 server with 8 processors, 128 cores and 1024 threads achieved 220,950 SAPs with 40,000 users for the two-tier SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark using SAP Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 running on Oracle Solaris 11 and Oracle 11g Database.(1)
The SPARC T5-8 server is 57% faster than the IBM Power 760 eight-chip running SAP Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0.
The SPARC T5-8 server delivers 5% more SAP users per chip than the IBM Power 780 12-chip running SAP Enhancement Package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0. (5)
