My Oracle Support Welcome Center

My Oracle Support is an integrated suite of online tools that provides users with:

• A personalized experience to enable faster problem resolution
• Proactive advice to avoid known problems
• Collaborative tools to connect with industry peers and support engineers who have first-hand knowledge of Oracle products, including Oracle's full line of Sun hardware and software
• An integrated platform to help streamline access to Oracle services

• Sun customers and partners can begin accessing online support resources exclusively through My Oracle Support. The existing online support portals and tools — including the Member Support Center (MSC), SunSolve, Sun Download Center, Sun Partner Exchange, Email Center, and Goldstar — retired over the December 10-12, 2010 migration weekend.
• Service Requests (SR) migrated from the legacy Sun and Java CAPS support platforms to My Oracle Support received new ticket numbers as part of the migration. The new SRs will, however, continue to reference legacy SR numbers to minimize disruption. All open Service Requests are available now in My Oracle Support, as well as approximately two months of closed SRs.
• As of January 30, 2011, the legacy Sun Support numbers have transitioned to Oracle Global Customer Support phone numbers.. Please access the Oracle Global Customer Support Contacts Directory to locate your regional support number. Review "Calling Global Customer Support" for details.
• Sun patches and downloads are available through My Oracle Support.
• Users of UpdateManager and smpatch will need to re-register their systems. See the Solaris Registration FAQ for details.
• Inbound email channels are discontinued. All new Service Requests, or updates to existing SRs, must be made either within My Oracle Support or via telephone.
• Automated Service Request (ASR) functionality is now supported and administered via My Oracle Support. Learn more about Oracle Automated Service Request for Sun Systems at, http://www.oracle.com/asr
• My Oracle Support and telephone support utilizes Support Identifiers (SI) to verify entitlement. Your Oracle Support Identifier is a unique number, which identifies your organization and indicates the products and level of service purchased by you and the Oracle Support services to which you are entitled. For more details, read important My Oracle Support Access Information. A comprehensive set of Frequently Asked Questions is also available to help you learn more.

During the weekend of December 10-12, 2010. Legacy Sun applications including the Member Support Center (MSC), SunSolve, Sun Download Center, Sun Partner Exchange, Goldstar, and Email Service Requests retired and were replaced with My Oracle Support.

• Register for My Oracle Support today. Please visit the My Oracle Access Information page for details.
• Ensure that your browser meets the technical requirements necessary to use My Oracle Support. If you are unable to meet these requirements, an HTML version of My Oracle Support, with limited functionality, is available.
• Associate at least one valid Support Identifier with your My Oracle Support profile. Review recent communications from Oracle Support with instructions on how to associate your Support Identifier with your My Oracle Support profile; this must be done in order to enable your account. Please be sure to use your existing MSC or ASR login (email address) when establishing your Oracle Single Sign-On. Doing so will automatically register you for full access to My Oracle Support. Once you create your Oracle Single Sign-On and associate your Support Identifier(s), you can begin using My Oracle Support.
• Inform your colleagues and partners that the Sun migration is complete and encourage them to begin using My Oracle Support for their online support needs.
• Review Migration Assistance Training: Understand the fundamentals of My Oracle Support and important migration information by accessing the "Sun Migration to My Oracle Support" recording and downloading the presentation.
