Oracle Sun System Analysis

Oracle Sun System Analysis is a proactive support feature available to customers as part of their Oracle Premier Support for Systems and/or valid Sun support plan. Reports identify many known serviceability issues and highlight specific problems, including known data corruption and availability risks associated with specific systems, mission-critical patching, and firmware management.


  • Improve time to repair and first call completion rates. Oracle Sun System Analysis generates reports that provide best-practice recommendations that when implemented, can address known issues before they impact availability, security, and data integrity.
  • Proactively mitigate risk systematically, based on business need. Many known issues can be easily identified and managed, so you have the ability to prioritize resources to focus on specific system management and maintenance tasks.

Oracle Sun System Analysis reporting focuses on areas of systems serviceability and generates reports based on telemetry derived from Oracle Explorer Data Collector* output. Diagnostic data capture is a point-in-time, digital snapshot of data points collected from many of Oracle's Sun servers and storage systems.

Oracle Sun System Analysis is a self-service, proactive support feature available to customers with Oracle Premier Support for Systems and/or a valid Sun support plan. To view the Proactive HW Services tab on your personalized My Oracle Support dashboard and gain access to Oracle Sun System Analysis reporting capabilities, you must first associate your Sun hardware Support Identifier (SI) with your Oracle single sign-on account.
