MeadWestvaco is a global market leader in packaging solutions for the cosmetics and personal care, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, home and garden and media industries. With partner Ironworks they have implemented a website that serves many geographies. Part of the project consisted of migrating a site that had been previously managed with Lotus Notes to have it served by Oracle Universal Content Management 10gR3. The sites leverage UCM workflow to enable translation of source materials into multiple languages, and then reassociate the translated content to deliver multi-lingual sites. MeadWestvaco saves money by automating this process, as well as automating the file format conversion of branding images through the Digital Asset Management module of UCM.
