Workshop Description

Oracle Fusion Middleware is the #1 application infrastructure foundation. It enables enterprises to create and run agile and intelligent business applications and maximize IT efficiency by exploiting modern hardware and software architectures. Oracle’s Real-Time Decisions (RTD) platform combines both rules and predictive analytics to power solutions for real-time enterprise decision management. It enables real-time intelligence to be instilled into any type of business process or customer interaction. A high-performance transactional server delivers real-time decisions and recommendations. This server automatically renders decisions within a business process and reveals insights, creating actionable intelligence from data flowing through the process in real time.

This FREE hands-on workshop is designed to allow partners to receive a technical overview and gain understanding of the Oracle Real Time Decision (RTD) Platform. Participants will gain substantial hands-on experience using RTD Inline Services, RTD Decision Studio, RTD Decision Center, and RTD Load Generator in a controlled lab environment. The workshop will also familiarize participants with the procedures needed to properly install RTD components, deployment options, share best practices and use cases for RTD.

After taking this Oracle RTD workshop, you can build RTD Inline Services, and understand business value and use cases of the RTD product. You will be able to build end to end solutions utilizing learned concepts, best practices and use case scenario in the class. If you are a J2EE and/or eCommerce Developer or business process optimization is on priority a list for you, you cannot afford to miss this workshop!

  • Attendees are expected to:
    Have some experience with Oracle or other database technology and at least preliminary knowledge of J2EE. Exposure to eCommerce or content management style applications would be a plus but not required.

Equipment Requirements

This workshop requires attendees to provide their own laptops.
Attendee laptops must meet the following minimum hardware/software requirements:


  • CPU: Pentium 4 @ 1Ghz or greater
  • OS: Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows 2003 SP1 or higher (32-bit only), Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or higher, Microsoft Windows Vista
  • RAM: 2GB minimum
  • HDD: 15GB of available disk space required for VMware Image
  • DVD reader
  • USB 2.0 port (at least one available)
  • Mouse is highly recommended

Software (Students to install prior to class)

VMware Player is Free. VMware Workstation is the recommended product, but requires a purchase. A 30-day free evaluation of Workstation is available.

The class duration is 4 days in the same venue.
