Welcome to our Club - an exclusive series of events aimed at providing you with access to a range of thought provoking and industry shaping leaders, luminaries and associations speaking on today's most significant architectural challenges.

In this, our fourth meeting of the Enterprise Architects Club we will explore the importance of enterprise architecture for the business. Joining us to give some practical examples of real world application is Mike Yorweth, Group Technology and Architecture Director from Tesco. Once again an invited panel of experts from the industry will be on hand to answer your queries after the keynote. I hope you are able to join us for this fourth club event.

Courthouse Hotel Kempinski, London. The venue for our first Enterprise Architects Club proved such a success we are returning to the Courthouse Hotel Kempinski. For those of you new to the Club, you’ll find this hotel set right in the heart of London’s bustling shopping and theatre district and offering a luxurious haven. The hotel is situated in an old Grade II Listed Magistrates Court, retaining much of the original features with a contemporary feel.

The Great Marlborough Street Magistrate’s Court has hosted many infamous cases over the years, involving renowned characters spanning music, literature and TV. It’s walls have heard many illicit and extreme stories, from the likes of John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Osca r Wilde, Christine Keller to name a few.

Enterprise Architecture and its importance to Business

Enterprise Architecture has been defined in various ways by different associations and analysts and has had varying success in business.

Enterprise Architecture is much more than frameworks to define the internals of systems and how they interact with each other. Enterprise Architecture is about establishing the core values or principles, which apply to how IT is applied and aligned with Business Strategy and how these principles are checked and measured.

In this presentation Mike Yorwerth, Group Technology & Architecture Director, will discuss Tesco’s experience and leasons learnt. This will include what Tesco have defined as Enterprise Architecture, why this is important to their business, why they are committed to the approach and how they are using it for significant business benefit.
