During this 3 hour session, you will get a chance to hear from MySQL Sr. Product Manager Rob Young on the MySQL release roadmap including a review of the advancements made with the current 5.5 release as well as what is to come in the pending 5.6 release. We will spend time discussing new and improved features and extensions that help increase MySQL’s overall performance, availability, and scalability. During the second half of the agenda, a MySQL solution architect will discuss the various architectural approaches MySQL has for helping customers meet application service level agreements. We will look at the different ways that replication can be used as well as discuss MySQL Cluster, not only as a standalone product, but how it can be used in conjunction with InnoDB to achieve the highest level of availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
