Overview Agenda Speaker

Oracle cordially invites you, along with a select group of top-level HR Directors, for an exclusive event on Wednesday, 25th Sep 2013.

The event will feature a welcome and short speech by Raaid Damati, ECEMEA Director & HCM Product Leader, at Oracle. He will comment and share his view on the results of a research conducted recently by the Economist Intelligence Unit on "C-level perspectives of the HR function", specifically on how this report resonates and compares with the Saudi HR Practitioner experience.

This research investigates whether the HR function is forging a close and robust relationship with the CEO. It also explores the nature of these working relationships, how they have been affected by the economic downturn and how they vary across industries and regions. The research is based on a global survey of 235 C-level executives and a series of in-depth interviews with senior executives from major companies. It appears that in some regions the HR function still has work to do to convince senior executives that it can play a key role in the strategic direction of organizations.

During the event, thoughts will be shared on the challenges facing HR today, HR issues versus people issues in global companies and how modern technology can support not only HR but can bring value to the entire organization.

Finally we will close with some discussion and views on the meaning of Cloud Computing for HR professionals.
