Solaris 10 10/09 does not have native driver support for "Emulex Virtual Fabric Adapter(49Y4235)" and needs patches 141877-07 and 144189-02 or higher.
This adapter has been configured in pNIC mode during certification.
Following BIOS setting changes need to be applied for it to be configured in pNIC mode:
By default the vNIC is set to "Enable". It needs to be changed to "Disable" to configure into pNIC.
To change vNIC state to Disable:
Select Setup as the system is booting->Select System Settings->
Select Emulex NIC Configuration Utility->Enter->
Select Emulex OneConnect Oce10102-N-X, NIC/TOE,v1.1a11,Port 0->Select vNIC and enter to choose Disable |
