General Notes: NIC note:-
Had to edit /boot/solaris/devicedb/master and /etc/driver_aliases with the configuration from ptrconf. No response, even though ifconfig and netstat reported functioning entries. Then used “eeprom acpi-user-options=0x2” per the report on:-
http://www.sunmanagers.org/pipermail/summaries/2003-April/00...

Tape note:-
Had to add entry to /kernel/drv/st.conf per the ‘Sun StorEdge™ DDS-4 Tape Drive Installation and User’s Guide’ Part No.: 806-3313-10 Revision A, November 1999.
Under section ‘tape-config-list=’
Added line “HP C5683A”, “HP DDS4 4mm DAT”, “HP_DAT_4”;
Added line HP_DAT_4 = 1,0x34,0,0x9639,4,0x00,0x8c,0x8c,0x8c,1;
After reconfiguration boot, ran ‘devfsadm –c tape’ to create the /dev/rmt/X entries. Tape then recognized using ‘mt –f /dev/rmt/0 status’
