1Purchase a subscription



Go to cloud.oracle.com/application-performance-monitoring. Don't have an oracle.com account? Click here to sign up.

Purchase a subscription. When approved, you will get an activation email titled:
Welcome to Oracle Cloud. Start your service.
2Activate your order


Click Complete My Order in the welcome email.

You will then get an activation email titled:
Setup Complete. You are ready to go.
This email contains the details required to access the service.

3Prepare to deploy APM Java Agent

Review the following topics in Deploying and Managing Oracle Management Cloud Agents at Oracle Help Center:
Overview of Deploying Application Performance Monitoring
Preparing to Deploy APM Java Agent


Set the domain home directory (DOMAIN_HOME) and the staging directory (STAGE_DIR) in the
target host running Oracle WebLogic Server.
4Download the Master Installer

Sign in to My Services, cloud.oracle.com/sign-in.

Click Launch APM.
The Welcome page of the Set Up Application Performance Monitoring wizard is displayed.
Navigate through the wizard till the Download page is
displayed.

Download the Master Installer to a shared directory that can be accessed by all the target hosts in your data center.
Extract the contents of the master installer ZIP file.


Run the Master Installer to download the APM Java Agent to the stage directory.
5Deploy the APM Java Agent

Determine the domain home where you will install the APM Java agent.


Run ProvisionApmJavaAsAgent.sh from the staging directory in your WebLogic Server domain.
6Post installation settings


Modify your domain’s startWebLogic.sh
script.
Add the -javaagent option to the set of
Java options.
Stop and restart the WebLogic Server.
