Oracle OpenWorld 2010 Demo Pod: “Eye-Tracking to Improve the Design of Software

gif
Oracle Applications User Experience

Floyd Teter, Program Office Director at Innowave Technology, takes part in an eye-tracking study as Oracle research scientist Joe Goldberg observes. Cameras mounted in the computer screen monitor where Teter’s eyes land on the page and track his progress as he reads through sections of the screen.

The Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) team will be running a demo pod at OpenWorld on eye-tracking of Applications Unlimited and Fusion Applications user interfaces. Come see for yourself what eye-tracking looks like in real time on an Oracle application. This important usability research tool enables UX team members to determine where a user’s visual attention is focused during a task. That data tells Oracle designers how well a user interface design is working, and can help determine why certain errors are made while completing tasks.
