Description
There are three types of actions: primary, secondary, and inline. Each of these actions is directly related to data visible on the current screen. The primary action is prominently visible in the top-right corner. Secondary actions require tap interaction to view available options. Inline actions provide a shortcut to frequently performed actions that may be hidden or visible by default. The different types of actions can be combined to appear on the same screen at once.

Inline Actions

Cutting down on taps and touch-and-hold interactions is an important consideration for mobile applications due to slow download speeds and frequent interruptions. Use inline actions as a shortcut to quickly access commonly performed actions.
Primary Action

The primary action is located directly to the right of the page title within the page header. A commonly performed action, such as Edit or Create, should be placed in this position.

Secondary Actions

Enterprise applications often have multiple actions for a given page. When there are several possible actions, make them available from native menus or from an Actions toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
