Keyword search is used within the context of a single business object that is clearly defined by related data on the screen. Keyword search always appears at the top of the screen, directly below the page header.

Keyword search can be used on the home page or above a long list. The search field contains gray hint text that communicates the search scope.

Scope can be the name of the business object ("Search by Name") or specific fields ("Search Opportunity" or "Customer Name").

For browser-based mobile applications, an icon to the right of the search field is required to run search.
