Worklist tables list human tasks routed to a user. The Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Suite provides a worklist table component that has a federated and a non-federated mode. The federated worklist is used to display the user’s currently open tasks across all worklist servers. The non-federated worklist is used to display tasks relevant to a particular domain. In addition, teams can implement a custom version of the worklist table. This custom table is appropriate when teams have particular needs not supported by the provided worklist table component.

The federated worklist appears on the Welcome tab of the Oracle Fusion Applications Home page. Which is correct? You should include a filtered or custom version of the worklist table in a work area or dashboard if you have a need to present a filtered view of human tasks, limited to particular task types that apply to a specific domain.

Keep in mind that all currently open human tasks are presented to the user in a worklist table on the Welcome tab in the Oracle Fusion Applications Home page. All users see the worklist table first, as soon as they log in. The use of filtered or custom worklist tables are therefore optional in other dashboards and work areas.
