Where Will the Oracle Applications User Experience (UX) Team Be in 2011?

The Oracle Applications UX team works closely with Oracle product managers to conduct usability testing and presentations at Oracle user conferences. We will be at several conferences in 2011, and planning and preparation for these events is already in the works. Here’s a list of conferences that we will attend in the first half of the year:

Will you be there too? Sign up for one of our onsite product usability testing sessions to get a peek at next-generation enterprise applications and learn about Oracle’s pioneering user-centered design process. These events are by invitation only, so please let us know if you are interested by sending an e-mail to or by checking out the Usable Apps website for more information.
Learn More about Oracle Fusion Applications

Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle’s answer to the next generation of software for the global enterprise, has been in the works at Oracle for several years. Read about how Oracle has directed the software’s creation and refinement with a specific focus on end-user quality, pouring much of its efforts into usability research and design. Learn how customers were an integral part of the process, as the Oracle Applications UX team made hundreds of visits to customer sites to help build a solid foundation for Oracle Fusion.  For more on the Oracle Fusion user experience, including access to white papers about the different product pillars in Oracle Fusion, visit the Usable Apps website.
What’s New with Oracle Applications

Next-generation user experiences in enterprise software are already showing up in new Oracle applications releases.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3, released in August 2010, showcases newly available user experience highlights that improve productivity, such as sleeker navigation, a List of Values tool that makes searching more efficient, and design changes such as pop-up windows for inline attachments that keep the user’s work in context. For more on E-Business Suite 12.1.3, visit the Usable Apps blog.

CRM On Demand Offline Client for Life Sciences, released in June 2010, is a tablet-based application for pharmaceutical sales representatives who often need to tap into presentations, notes, and calendars while in an offline mode. More on the user experience of this new release is available at the Usable Apps blog.
