| From Iceland to Senegal, 24 Hours of APEX |
Developer communities can’t be forced, only nurtured. They flourish around technologies that achieve that unpredictable mix of wizardry and whimsy. Such is the case with Oracle Application Express, or APEX, whose 500,000-strong developer community spans the globe.
When the Oracle APEX community held its first-ever APEX@Home event (you can watch replays of all the sessions), nearly 4,700 attendees joined, and expressions of delight poured in from Senegal to Costa Rica to Egypt to Iceland.
APEX isn’t the only community we’re celebrating this month. In a few days, Java will turn 25, and the Java team has a host of celebratory activities planned.
