It’s Back! Oracle ACE Program Newsletter 2.0 + New Blog + ACE Spotlight Video |
We took a break, but the Oracle ACE Program Newsletter has returned. The updated newsletter now focuses on for-ACEs-only program news. Your activities will now be promoted in the new ACEs in Action Blog.
The monthly ACE Member Spotlight will now be produced as a video that will be featured in the newsletter and posted on the blog, so that members will get wider exposure.
Bob Rhubart is our new newsletter editor and Oracle ACE blog master (Thank you, Bob!!!). The blog will be updated twice each week based on activities reported to the Groundbreakers Review app. So it's important that you report your activities regularly and often -- ideally weekly, but at least monthly if you want your contributions to be included in the blog. Note that it is important to report speaking engagements in advance so we can help to promote those events. Bob will publish a list of Kscope speakers on the blog based on information that he pulls from the review app, so please make sure you enter your presentations soon so you are included. |

Yearly Reviews |
All activities reported in the Oracle ACE review app must be up to date by May 15, 2019 if you want to be reviewed to receive the award for the next period (June 1, 2019 - May 31, 2020). Note that we have 500 members to review, so all of your activities must be entered no later than May 15th. Please let me know if you have questions, and use the link below to report your activities.
We review each entry and adjust points when necessary. If we increase or decrease the amount of points assigned, we'll add an explantation in the comments field.
We understand that career paths and interests change, so please email me if you already know you wish to move to Alumni. |

Oracle OpenWorld Update |
We are already planning fun things for you at Oracle OpenWorld! Here are some tentative dates to help you with your own planning:
Saturday, Sept 14: Oracle ACE Director Briefing Sunday, Sept 15: Groundbreaker Ambassador Briefing Sunday, Sept. 15: Oracle ACE dinner September 16-18: Volunteer in Groundbreakers Hub
Hotel
We have arranged a block of hotel rooms for Associates, ACEs, and ACE Directors who will self-pay. The cost is approximately $400 per night (taxes included). I will provide you with a booking code in a separate email in May. Speaker acceptance emails for Oracle OpenWorld should go out around the 2nd/3rd week of May. I am finalizing the details for the ACE Director room block and will send those details in a separate email.
If you need a self-pay hotel room, enter all your contributions in the ACE Review app by May 15, 2019 and then notify me by email. I will then put you on the list to receive the booking code. We have a limited number of rooms and they will be distributed in the order in which email requests are received.
Oracle ACE and ACE Director Briefing Planning is underway for an ACE Director Briefing on Saturday, September 14th.
Please complete the survey by May 26th on who you would like to present and the topics you would like to be covered at the ACE Director Briefing. The agenda last year was built entirely on the feedback I received from those who filled out the survey, so please make sure you complete it! We are planning (subject to approvals) to provide two nights hotel support to Oracle ACE Directors who attend the entire ACE Director Briefing and volunteer in the Groundbreakers Hub. |
