| ACE Program Update |
Update Your Profile: Please remember to update your profile information in the ACE review app. Areas of particular importance are email for ACE communications and your address and phone number.
Some of you prefer to receive the newsletter and ACE communications at an email address other than the Oracle SSO email address that you use to log into the Review App, so please make sure we have both!
Also make sure your address and phone number are up to date. (We only use your address for shipping gifts to you).
Promotions: As mentioned during the program update calls, we will review all Associates who have been in the ACE Program at least 9 months for a promotion to Oracle ACE. You do not need to do anything as long as you have added all of your contributions to the Review App.
ACE Awards: We will announce all 2019-2020 ACE Award winners in August and distribute the new yearly gift to members at OpenWorld. If you do not attend OpenWorld, we will ship the gift to you after the conference. |
| Oracle OpenWorld / Code One Update |
Conference Passes: During the week of July 1 we emailed Associates and ACEs a survey to gather conference pass requests and session details. Thank you to all of those who responded. Conference Pass codes were emailed on July 9. Any additional requests for conference passes will be added to a waiting list.
We have a long waiting list of ACEs who want a conference pass, so please let me know as soon as possible if you were given a pass and will not use it.
Hotel: Register by August 2: If you are receiving travel support from the Groundbreakers program or want to use the ACE program room block, you need to book by August 2, 2019.
Self-Pay Hotel Block at the Hotel Abri: We have arranged for a limited number of hotel rooms for current Associates, ACEs and ACE Directors who will self-pay (meaning they will not receive travel support from the ACE Program). The cost is approximately $400 per night (taxes included). Rooms are available on a first-come, first serve basis for dates between Sept 13-19, and must be booked by August 2, 2019. The booking code for self-pay rooms is: GBAAbri19. (The booking code is only for ACE program members and is non-transferable.)
Hotel Block at the Handerly Hotel for ACE Directors: If you are an ACE Director attending the ACE Director Briefing or presenting at Oracle OpenWorld, please use this code for the Handerly Hotel: CustGBEliteP. (The booking code is only for ACE Directors and Groundbreaker Ambassadors and is non-transferable.)
OpenWorld Activities: We are already planning fun things for you for Oracle OpenWorld! Keep these dates in mind: Saturday, Sept 14: Oracle ACE Director Briefing Sunday, Sept 15: Groundbreaker Ambassador Briefing Sunday, Sept. 15: Oracle ACE dinner September 16-18: Volunteer in Groundbreakers Hub |
| Speaker Training at Oracle OpenWorld |
Oracle is partnering with Speechless this year to offer group speaker training sessions, to take place on Sunday, September 14. Speechless can help with innovation, quicker iteration, and on-stage confidence. Group training focus areas include:
- General presentation/public speaking tips & techniques - Feedback on and help with speaking challenges such as nervousness, interacting with the audience, storytelling, etc.
If you’re interested in becoming the best version of yourself while doing public speaking, this is something you don’t want to miss! Please email me at jennifer.nicholson@oracle.com by July 26 with OOW Speaker Training in subject line if you’re interested in attending. Space is limited. |
| APEX + Autonomous Database = Awesome! |
The Oracle Support team is still looking for volunteers to share their Oracle Support experiences. We want to showcase real-life stories about how your expertise and know-how combined with responses from My Oracle Support and Product Development to solve challenging technical problems. Content can be in the form of blogs, podcasts, and videos, and will count towards your program points accruement.
If you are interested in helping, please contact jennifer.nicholson@oracle.com for additional details. |
