Oracle Application Integration Cloud Platform for Solution Engineer
Critical business processes — especially those related to human capital management, customer experience, and enterprise resource planning — are frequently slow and inflexible. There’s a lack of connectivity between applications and people to support the business process life cycle. Oracle Application Integration provides a unified platform where customers can integrate apps, automate processes, provide business visibility and create applications.

Oracle Integration - Get Started free hands-on training labs from OOW 2019
In these hands-on labs, you'll be working with two of the key capabilities of Oracle Integration; application integration and process automation.
The labs are broken into two parts. Part one will cover application integration where you'll create an integration to update subscription usage data in Oracle Engagement Cloud. Part two will cover process automation where you'll create a Process App to automate the self service collection of usage data and update that subscription usage data in Oracle Engagement Cloud Subscription Management.

Oracle Integration Cloud pricing explained – OCI vs Classic by Robert van Molken
Last week at AMIS we had the task of estimating costs of a proposed iPaaS solution for one of our customers that runs on a fully managed cloud. As AMIS is mainly an Oracle partner we looked at how competitive we could make the pricing of the solution using Oracle Cloud compared to other vendors. In this blog I will not go into much details of this vendor compare matrix, as I want to focus on the pricing of Oracle and how it has changed over time. Bottom-line: for our use-case I was positively surprised by the outcome.

How Much Oracle Integration Cloud Do I Need?
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a powerful platform for application integration, process automation, and streamlined mobile and web development. It incorporates machine learning recommendations to accelerate every step of designing and delivering integrations.
With all of the capability that OIC delivers, how do you determine how much OIC you need to purchase? How does your usage of the features in OIC influence the rate of consumption? In this blog we will cover:

How SOA Suite Adapter Can Help Leverage your On-premises Investments by Vijaya Bhat
The SOA Suite Adapter on Oracle Integration (OIC) enables you to take advantage of the latest feature rich adapters on OIC, while leveraging your existing investments on SOA Suite and Service Bus. It provides a rich design-time experience to create a single connection to SOA Suite / Service Bus, browse through the services running on them, and create integrations. For runtime, it relies on the standard SOAP and REST Adapters with or without the Connectivity Agent, depending on how the SOA Suite / Service Bus is accessible over the network.

OIC ERP Integration Using File Based Data Import (FBDI) by Anthony Hobart
Configuring the Oracle ERP Cloud Adapter within Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for importing bulk data using File Based Data Import (FBDI) into ERP requires many considerations and some important configuration. This post outlines the steps and considerations required for an effective ERP bulk data import integration.

Fusion ERP Batch Imports with OIC by Niall Commiskey
Simple scenario here - I have an FBDI compliant AP Invoices file in a folder on my ftp server
OIC leverages the ftp adapter, reads the file and inovkes the import to ERP
OIC receives the callback from ERP on job completion.
FBDI - File Based Data Import.
Fusion ERP provides FBDI templates for AP Invoices, Suppliers, GL etc.

Integration Patterns - Publish/Subscribe (Part1) by Daniel Martins Teixeira
Broadcasting, Publish/Subscribe, Distributed Messaging, One-to-many, these are just some of the names referring to the same integration pattern, which is one of the most powerful available for connecting multiple systems.
In a nutshell, this pattern is about:
• Source System publishes a message
• Target Systems subscribe to receiving that message
This enables the propagation of that message into all the target systems that subscribe to it, as illustrated in the below picture.

Jarvis Pizzeria: Using a DM in ICS by Marcel van de Glind
In This blog is a follow up of Using a DM in PCS, but can also be read as a separate item. The previous blog we showed how to embed a Decision in PCS. We described how the hard-coded relationship between a Decision and Process (PCS) can be prevented by using an ICS integration. In this blog we describe step by step how this integration can be developed.

Jarvis Pizzeria: How to manage Masterdata of a DM (part 1) by Marcel van de Glind
We have implemented the decision table below in a Decision Model (see Using a DM in PCS) and we have made the Decision Model accessible through an integration (see Using a DM in ICS). But now let’s look at the data in this table.
Suppose that it turns out that deliveries by scooter at distances above 5 Km turn out to be faster than expected (because this is usually outside built-up areas, where there is less traffic).

Jarvis Pizzeria:ORDS-CRUD Generator by Marcel van de Glind
The Auto REST feature allows you to quickly set up REST services on your ORDS enabled database. This feature allows users wanting to quickly enable database objects and run basic queries. Users wanting more complex operations will need the Full REST development setup.
In order to use the Auto REST functionality, only a few actions are required. Although the amount of work when using the Full REST option is not too bad, it is still considerably more than with Auto REST.

Microprocess Considerations by Jan Kettenis
In this article I discuss some considerations when applying the Microprocess Architecture, and how those can impact the design of the process.

As pointed out in the article about the Microprocess Architecture, one should carefully consider if this is the right architecture for the process application to create. Considering the implications (for example one single business process can end up comprising multiple process applications) it should not be considered to be a "one-size fits all" kind of architecture.

I would have never dreamed to share the Oracle conference center stage with Andy Mendelson head of the database business at Oracle. It was an honor to summarize his Data Management keynote at the Oracle Cloud Platform Partner Advisory Council. Yes he did overrun his session by almost twice the time and I was the timekeeper... Andy Mendelson gave the partner community a heads of his Oracle OpenWorld 2019 announcements including the free tier. As Oracle’s mission is to help people see data in new ways, discover insights, unlock endless possibilities, it’s time to explore new technologies like integration & orchestration of functions & microservices, digital assistants, a journey like a dynamic process.
