Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Autonomous Database

Zoom

Zoom has seen demand for their video services increase almost twenty-fold since January, so they needed additional cloud capacity immediately. Within hours of deployment, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure supported hundreds of thousands of simultaneous meeting participants. Zoom is now using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to enable millions of concurrent participants, transferring upward of 8 petabytes per day.


Verizon

Verizon Business Group has moved more than 25 mission-and business-critical workloads onto Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, serving customers around the globe. These workloads process more than 200,000 IOPS with 120 TB of data. Verizon uses Oracle Cloud Infrastructure with Exadata Cloud Service, including RAC and Data Guard.


8x8

8x8, a cloud communications platform, saw usage of their video meetings solutions take off as COVID-19 spread, now exceeding 20 million monthly active users worldwide. When they moved to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure from AWS, 8x8 achieved 25% better performance per node, at a lower price.


Large European Auto Manufacturer

This large European auto manufacturer will use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for high-performance computing workloads such as computational fluid dynamics and crash test simulations, which are used in their vehicle development programs. With demand for high-performance computing growing, they needed a highly elastic HPC cloud environment to reduce capital cost and to flexibly scale. They expect to use upward of 15,000 cores by the end of 2020.


Quest Diagnostics

Quest Diagnostics, a world leader in diagnostic testing, expanded their Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer environment, providing additional capacity to migrate their MyQuest Portal Database in anticipation of increased COVID-19 antibody testing.


Manappuram Finance

Manappuram Finance, a nonbanking financial company, decided to move entirely to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure from their existing IBM stack. They will be deploying in Oracle’s Mumbai data center, with our newly launched Hyderabad region as the disaster recovery site.


SGS

SGS, a leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company based in Switzerland, expects to lower overall costs by 18% by moving multiple workloads, including more than 34,000 Oracle E-Business Suite users, to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.


General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA)

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) uses Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer to save about 50% while helping to meet government requirements for data protection. By using Oracle Autonomous Database, GACA’s IT team can focus on business innovation instead of database maintenance.


TD Bank Group (Canada)

Canada’s TD Bank Group made a multiyear commitment to use Oracle Cloud—including Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Analytics Cloud, and other cloud services—to move their financial reporting systems from an on-premises configuration to a cloud deployment, improving performance at a lower cost.


Cybereason

Cybereason, a cybersecurity technology company, relies on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to deliver their SaaS platform for endpoint protection, response, and analytics. Cybereason will also use bare metal services and Oracle Autonomous Database to run their analytics.


Sky.One

Sky.One in Brazil helps companies move complex applications to the cloud. The company used to only offer AWS-based options, but after including the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure option, Sky.One now expects to double their consumption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in the next six months.


Altair

Altair helps manufacturers run workloads such as computational fluid dynamics and computer-aided engineering to design and build their products. The company has moved high-performance computing workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including running some of their SaaS applications.


Synacor

Synacor, a cloud-based software and services company that serves video, internet and communications providers, device manufacturers, governments, and businesses, is migrating some of their production SaaS businesses to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, allowing them to shut down several data centers.


Santander Bank

Santander Bank, formerly Sovereign Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Spanish Santander Group, is consolidating their databases on Oracle Exadata cloud machines, using the autonomous and multitenant capabilities to support the bank’s digital transformation.

Oracle Cloud Applications

JP Morgan Chase

JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) went live in over 100 countries with more than 256,000 employees on Oracle Cloud HCM Cloud Core and Recruiting. Their new career site uses Oracle Cloud Recruiting. JPMC is the largest customer migrating off Taleo to Oracle Cloud Recruiting, with more than 2 million candidates converted.


Mount Sinai Health System

Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai went live with Oracle Cloud HCM in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting more than 26,000 employees with more modern, accessible tools. They replaced a 30-yr old HR and payroll system.


Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs, a multinational investment bank and financial services company, migrated from Oracle PeopleSoft and went live on Oracle Cloud HCM in Q4 FY20.


Kroger

Kroger, one of the largest grocers in North America with nearly half a million associates, has partnered with Oracle to use the full suite of Oracle Cloud HCM.


Westpac

Westpac, a financial services company, will use Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM to reduce their cost and complexity while helping to meet regulations for the New Zealand business to operate independently from their parent company in Australia.


KPN

KPN, a Dutch telecommunications company, is using Oracle Cloud HCM and ERP to do a complete back-office transformation, planning to reduce the nearly 2,000 applications it currently uses.


Petronas

Petronas, a Malaysian oil and gas company, embarked on a global HR transformation program in 2019. Their legacy system is unable to meet their needs going forward, so they chose to partner with us and deploy Oracle Cloud HCM.


IQVIA

IQVIA, provider of information, services, and technology for the healthcare industry, recently went through a merger. As a result, executive leadership wanted to consolidate disparate PeopleSoft and SAP platforms into one enterprise ERP cloud platform. IQVIA chose Oracle Cloud ERP based on the flexibility and completeness of the suite and the ability to accommodate future directional changes.


National Instruments

National Instruments, which produces automated test equipment and virtual instrumentation software, has a COVID response team that is using Oracle Analytics on Fusion HCM to create visualizations to monitor case count and changes for critical locations. These insights help the National Instruments’ HR team understand the situations of their 8,000 employees so they can make important decisions on how to best reopen their facilities.


Global Networking Company

This global networking company is leveraging Oracle Cloud Digital Supply Chain with a single data model to achieve an end-to-end view of their process to commercialize, plan to produce, and deliver, without data replication. They’re also using Oracle Cloud EPM to modernize the financial planning, close, and consolidation process as the company transforms to a more subscription-based business.


Large Multinational Conglomerate

This large multinational conglomerate in Asia added Oracle Cloud ERP to their Oracle Cloud SCM and HCM capabilities. They’ll be rolling out Oracle Cloud ERP and HCM to more than 200,000 employees across multiple subsidiaries worldwide, looking to remove tens of millions of dollars in operating costs.


Dick’s Sporting Goods

With brick-and-mortar stores largely closed due to COVID-19, Dick’s expanded their number of agents supporting ecommerce, as well as their CRM RightNow Service Cloud contract, to help handle the significant uptick in the volume of customer inquiries. Through enhanced customer service efforts, with self-service options supporting their ecommerce site, Dick’s was able to maintain a single source of truth for customer data, driving in tandem optimal customer service experiences via their call centers.
