People’s Choice Credit Union (People’s Choice) is one of Australia’s largest member-owned financial institutions with more than 365,000 members. It provides award-winning home loans, credit cards, and personal and business loans to meet the needs of its members. People’s Choice aims to be the most trusted financial services provider in Australia.

Previously, People’s Choice relied on its payroll system and spreadsheets to capture data and manage the recruitment, onboarding, and performance review processes. Business leaders had limited visibility into workforce data. With rapid changes in the financial services industry, People’s Choice wanted to align staff performance, enhance staff experience, and improve its ability to attract and retain the right talent by moving to an HR cloud platform.

  • Empowered recruiters to instantly post job advertisements to various sources, including internal website, external website, and different job boards, with Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud, in a fraction of the time it took previously
  • Enabled the HR team to create and email employment contracts within minutes of making an offer and allowed candidates to accept the offer with digital signature
  • Supported rapid deployment by adopting a flexible and intuitive Oracle HCM Cloud, which was utilized by 83% of staff within the first week of go live and publishing 2,500 goals, including operational and bonus-related goals in just 4 months
  • Improved talent management by establishing a competency framework with Oracle HCM Cloud and enabling leaders to easily assess the competencies and the review ratings of their staff across all locations

Execution

People’s Choice implemented a suite of Oracle HCM Cloud solutions in multiple phases. In the first phase, it rolled out Oracle Human Capital Management Base Cloud Service, Oracle Performance Management Cloud Service, and Oracle Goals Management Cloud Service—all within three months. People’s Choice then completed the full cycle of performance management five months later. The company took another two months to adopt Oracle Talent Acquisition Cloud for the recruitment and onboarding processes. People’s Choice went live with the new platform in 15 months, on time and within budget.
